University of Wisconsin student-athletes are known across the country for their exceptional athletic abilities, but we’re discovering what incredible people they are, too.

Since launching a partnership with Badgers Give Back this summer, teams of student-athletes have served meals at LCEC community dinners, assisted with our school supply drive, and sponsored a holiday gift-giving tree. “It was great passing out food [at community dinner],” commented one Badger swimmer, “because we were able to connect with practically everyone who came through the event.”

Basketball player Ethan Happ even invited seven children from our elementary afterschool program to men’s basketball games, met with them at the end of each game, and gave them a signed pair of his shoes as a special souvenir.

In coming months our middle school and high school students will get to learn about jobs in the field of college athletics and explore life on campus from the perspective of female athletes.

Badgers Give Back aims to encourage, engage, and serve others, and the LCEC can attest to the Badgers’ commitment to these values and more. Thank you, Badgers Give Back, for all that you do!
