After years of anticipation, hard work, and excitement...the Lussier Community Education Center is thriving in its new home.
We are grateful for the extensive support so many of you provided us along the way to help us build this beautiful new home for our organization.
The
Lussier Community Education Center is an innovative, inter-generational, green built, community center on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin. We are located on the grounds of Jefferson Middle and Memorial High Schools.
Our center has evolved out of the
Wexford Ridge Neighborhood Center (WRNC) which has been serving and nurturing a growing population on Madison's west side for over 30 years.
Our mission is to provide programs, services, and access to resources that promote personal growth and community well-being in response to neighborhood needs. Madison is growing and changing, and the Lussier Community Education Center dramatically increases our capacity to impact our community.

- Write Your Cover Letter
A well written and thought-out over letter can make your job application stand out. In this hands-on workshop you will write and edit your cover letter. Thrusday, July 9th 12:00-1:00pm
Technology Workshop: Introduction to Word Processing for Beginners
Learn the basics of typing a simple document (resume, letter, etc.). Topics covered will include getting started with a new document; formatting, moving and copying text; plus saving and printing your document.

B.E.A.T.S. Hours:
- Drop-In assistance: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am-12:30pm and 2:00-3:30pm
- Open Lab: Mondays - Fridays 8:30am- 3:30pm
- Sign-Up for Summer Camp 2009!
The LCEC runs an 8-week summer day camp for youth entering grades 3-8. The camp runs June 22nd-August 14th Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:30pm. Everything is free, but preference goes to youth from the Wexford Ridge Apartments.
