It’s been about 6 weeks since Corey Whitmore joined the LCEC team as station manager for WWMV-LP broadcasting at 95.5 FM, and already he’s got big plans that include YOU — as a listener, program host, producer, volunteer… the opportunities are endless. While this music industry veteran (whose experience includes starting up and operating an independent music label as well as working with the Milwaukee Boys and Girls Club) is excited to share his knowledge and skills, he’s also eager to learn from others.

“Engaging with the radio station gives people a chance to learn a new radio or media skill set,” Corey says. “They also get to be part of building this platform for all voices to be heard, and to help create a safe and welcoming space for people to be a part of community.”

He’s counting on the generosity and creativity of you, the LCEC’s neighbors and supporters, to bring WWMV-LP’s vision of radio by the community and for the community into reality. “The LCEC brings people together from all walks of life,” Corey notes, “and I want to make sure that the radio station reflects that.”
