This month we hear from Kaleb Weaver, a 4th grader in the LCEC afterschool program. He spoke with Abby Puckhaber and discussed why he loves the center.

Abby starts by asking “what are some things you enjoy doing at Lussier?” Kaleb lists his favorite activities starting with computer club (an afterschool program activity). Kaleb explains how he “likes typing and learning new things on the computers.”

Kaleb continues “I love doing crafts, making slime is my favorite.” Along with making slime, Kaleb also loved painting pumpkins this past fall.

When talking about the LCEC playground, Kaleb says “I like to play tag, hide and seek and hanging out with my friends”.

Kaleb goes on to say “I look forward to coming to Lussier afterschool and seeing my friends and siblings.” While not in programming, Kaleb enjoys coming to community dinners to spend time with his family at the LCEC and enjoy a delicious meal.

Looking into the future, Kaleb dreams of pursing a career in math, as he loves doing math problems, especially multiplication.

After the interview, we were able to hear from some of the program leads, who described Kaleb as the perfect little helper! Specifically, they said that Kaleb is always there to help set and clean up for the activity of the day.

We are so thankful to have been able to interview Kaleb and have no doubt that his future is bright!
