"Once in a while a project comes along and you can just hear the click. The CEC is one of those projects -- a chance to invest in the future. This is a chance to truly improve the quality of lives for individuals and our entire community."

Mark D. Bugher, University Research Park

The Lussier Community Education Center (LCEC) is an innovative project of the Wexford Ridge Neighborhood Center in partnership with the Madison Metropolitan School District and the City of Madison. The LCEC will be strategically situated on the Jefferson Middle School and Memorial High School campus, 55 Gammon Road.

Through this pioneering school-city-community partnership, new opportunities and comprehensive programs can be offered that would not otherwise be possible. The LCEC will open the walls between the schools and our community, creating a new kind of environment in which to teach, learn and grow leaders. It will be a community space for people of all generations to come together to share.

This dynamic facility will be a model for the nation -- built for today and with future generations in mind.
